About us

What we stand for

At Hoogly, we believe that while the world of work has evolved, the human need for trust, psychological safety, and belonging remains constant.

That’s why we stand for creating workplaces where every employee feels safe, valued, and connected—backed by science and research that shows how essential these elements are for well-being and performance.

Origins of the name ‘Hoogly’

Hoogly is inspired by the Danish concept of Hygge (hyoo-guh)—a feeling of cozy contentment, like a warm hug for your soul. Hygge is about slowing down and savoring simple moments, whether with others or in peaceful solitude.

We believe that these moments of connection—of togetherness—are a vital part of being human, and of working well with others. Throughout history, people have gathered around campfires, coffee tables, or water coolers at work, finding comfort and camaraderie. Even when work became more remote and teams spread out, this need for connection didn’t disappear.

Hoogly exists to bring that sense of Hygge back to the modern workplace—a virtual space where you can find the warmth, trust, and belonging we all crave, no matter where you are.

Leadership team

CEO
Mohit Midha

Mohit founded Hoogly after moving to Australia and feeling the impact of loneliness firsthand. Having successfully exited Mangahigh, where he used games to make math fun for students in 50 countries, he knew he wanted to apply his love for gamification to solve the deeper challenge of building connection in remote teams. When he’s not busy helping companies create belonging, you can find Mohit on the golf course, dominating a table tennis match, or cooking up a storm for his kids.
